Stroll Off History
What Exactly is a Stroll Off?
Traditionally developed by historically Black Greek-lettered organizations, strolling is an intense and exciting combination of choreography and sychronized steps that are used as means of both entertainment and symbolic representation for different fraternities and sororities.
The concept of "strolling" has since evolved to incorporate competition amongst various organizations, judged on the basis of difficulty, energy, and crowd appeal.

"Set It Off" Stroll Off Champions
In the past, the event has traditionally began with a stroll from the youth of the Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club of Alamance County. The Sigma Delta chapter volunteers at the center throughout the academic school year. Chapter members work with the youth to create a stroll routine specifically to showcase the childrens' talent in front of hundreds of Elon University students, Boys and Girls Club staff, and their families. A portion of the Stroll Off proceeds go toward supplying necessary resources for The Boys and Girls Club of Alamance County.
The Annual "Set It Off" Stroll Off
2015 marks the 3rd Annual "Set it Off" Stroll off. The "Set It Off" Stroll Off began at Elon University in Elon, North Carolina in 2013, and has been comprised of various organizations of the Greek community from Elon and other universites across North Carolina.
We continue the tradition of gathering members from the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) and the Pan-Hellenic Council (PHC) to compete for cash prizes, while also incorporating our community partnership with the Alamance County Boys and Girls Club. Our goal is to enrich our community by allowing people to come together in a space for diversity and enterainment in addtion to supporting an amazing cause.
